Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich has appointed Andrew M. Adolph to a term as a student trustee on the University of Akron’s board of trustees.

The appointment is effective July 2, 2018 to July 1, 2020. Adolph is one of two nonvoting student members of the UA board.

He fills the seat of former trustee Zachary D. Michel, whose term expired this year.

A Williams Honors Scholar, Adolph is entering his junior year at UA and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is a resident of Canal Fulton and a graduate of Jackson High School in Jackson Township.

Adolph is active in Undergraduate Student Government, University Council and Zips Recruiting Club. He is a Presidential Student Ambassador and student tour guide and was involved in UA’s Emerging Leaders program. He is an Eagle Scout and a Northern Ohio Golf Charities volunteer.
