GREEN: After seven years as a Green Local Schools administrator, Assistant Superintendent Kevin Finefrock is moving to Walsh University to be an associate dean.
The Green school board accepted Finefrock’s resignation Monday night.
“There is no question I will take with me so many positive memories. It has truly, truly been a privilege to serve our parents, serve our students and serve our community alongside so many talented and dedicated people,” he said. “I know that I will miss Green.”
Finefrock made $97,706 a year.
At Walsh, he will be responsible for development and coordination of the School for Professional Studies articulation agreements with community colleges, e-learning development and certificate programs as well as the accelerated degree programs offered through Walsh’s four School of Professional Studies campuses.
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Kevin, and appreciate his willingness to join me at the central office two years ago,” said Green Superintendent Jeffrey Miller. “Kevin was and has been an asset in reshaping and redefining our district’s climate and culture.”
The search for a new assistant superintendent is expected to begin soon.
The board also approved five-year contract renewals for Miller and Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer Eydie Snowberger. Three-year renewals were approved for Wendall Jackson, director of operations, Middle School Principal Jeff Wells; Alicia Austin, director of financial operations; Primary School Principal Scott Shank; and Bill Bridenthal, high school assistant principal.
New salaries will become effective Aug. 1 but details haven’t been finalized, according to Snowberger.
