GREEN: The annual Christmas-at-Town Park Holiday event will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd.
The event will begin with the second annual Rudolph Run at 4 p.m. Participants are encouraged to dress up in Christmas costumes for the fun run. Family and individual prizes will be awarded to best theme costume, most creative, bah humbug costume and spirit of Christmas costume. Registration is required for this free event. The first 50 registrants will receive a free T-shirt.
In addition to the fun run, family activities include make-and-take crafts and a story time. Cookies and hot cocoa will be available in the Central Administration Building.
Following the fun run, a community sing along will be held at 5 p.m., followed by the lighting of holiday decorations by Santa Claus and the mayor. Fireworks will be at 5:30 p.m.
Santa will meet with children in the lobby of the Central Administration Building. Admission is a donation of a nonperishable food item or personal care item for the city’s Green Gives Back food drive benefiting Green Good Neighbors.
