GREEN: The city will host two special programs in early November: One to help provide healthcare for residentsí dogs and cats and othe other to pay tribute to Americaís military veterans.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 pm., the city will host a rabies vaccination clinic for both dogs and cats at the Green recycle center at 5383 Massillon Road.

Summit County Health Department will provide the vaccine at $6 for each animal, according to Ward 3 Councilman Ken Knodel, chair of city councilís Safety Committee.

Retiring Summit County Sheriff Drew Alexander, a Green resident, will be the keynote speaker at the third annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 2 p.m. Nov. 11, at the Green Veterans Memorial at 1800 Steese Road.
