A group of men and women beat a 16-year-old Akron boy in the city’s Goodyear Heights neighborhood, police said.

The boy was treated for head and facial injuries at Summa Akron City Hospital.

No suspects have been identified.

The teen was found about 11 p.m. Friday “staggering” as he walked in the street at Goodyear Boulevard and Colony Crescent, police said.

He told police several males and females attacked him. The group was last seen driving away inside in a white Chevrolet Impala. Police released no other details.

Police said neighbors reported apparent gunshots being fired in the same area before the car fled.
