HUDSON: The city may ask residents to approve a new property tax to offer high-speed internet to households, MyTownNEO.com reports.

The tax would cost $8 a month per $100,000 home valuation and support a 1-gigabit per second service, the website said. Residents also would pay $30 a month for the service.

City Council is expected to discuss the issue Tuesday.

Hudson now offers internet to businesses through its Velocity Broadband.
