Since Summit County voters approved a levy in 2006, the park district has:

?Completed the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in Summit County.

?Renovated the Seiberling Nature Realm in northwest Akron.

?Opened the Twinsburg Ledges Area at Liberty Park in Twinsburg.

?Opened the Tallmadge Meadows Area of Munroe Falls Metro Park in Tallmadge.

?Opened Springfield Bog Metro Park in Springfield Township.

?Improved Brandywine Falls in Sagamore Hills Township.

?Added parking at the west end of the Sand Run Jogging Trail on the Akron-Fairlawn border.

?Built the Freedom Trail in Tallmadge.

?Turned Pond Brook in northern Summit County from a ditch into a more-natural stream.

?Added a fishing dock at Firestone Metro Park.

?Added picnic shelters at Silver Creek in Norton and Munroe Falls in Munroe Falls.

?Built new offices for rangers and park biologists in a green, or environmentally friendly, building in Sand Run Metro Park in West Akron.

?Restored the historic Harter Barn at Silver Creek park in Norton.

?Upgraded restrooms and trails districtwide and improved parking lots and parkways.
