LEBANON, OHIO: Ohio transportation authorities say southbound lanes of Interstate 71 have been shut down in a section northeast of Cincinnati.

The Department of Transportation says a crash on the southbound highway just past the State Route 73 exit caused the shutdown, which was expected to last four to five hours into Tuesday afternoon.

The left lane of northbound I-71 also was closed, and officials expect lengthy traffic delays. No details on the crash were available immediately.

Southbound traffic can divert to westbound State Route 73. Motorists can then take U.S. 42 south through Warren County, then state Route 48 back to I-71.
