Arrests



A Canton man, 24, of Newton Avenue Northwest was arrested at Stark State College on Frank Avenue Northwest and jailed on a charge of domestic violence Dec. 16 after an ex-girlfriend told police the suspect choked her during an argument, bit her nose and slapped her.



A Canton woman, 23, of Jones Court Northwest was arrested by Canton police and jailed by Jackson police Dec. 16 on a Jackson warrant charging her with felony theft.



A Massillon resident, 19, of Griffith Avenue Southwest was jailed on a charge of felony disrupting public services after police said he argued with his girlfriend and took her cellphone, preventing her from calling police.



Felonious assault



A township man told police Dec. 15 his jaw was broken in two places when he was assaulted by another man in the parking lot of Fiddlestix on Fulton Drive Northwest.



Breaking and entering



Leather clothing and other items, total value $27,550, were reported stolen Dec. 15 after the front door was pried open at George's Menswear on Belden Village Street Northwest.



Burglary



Two TV sets and $300 were stolen from an Appleknoll Street Northwest home Dec. 17.



A key apparently was used to enter a Bermuda Street Northwest home. Two TV sets, value unknown, were stolen.



Entry was forced at a Miles Avenue Northwest apartment Dec. 8 to steal a laptop computer and TV set, total value $900.



Forgery



A township resident told police Dec. 14 that her personal information was used to create and cash two fraudulent checks totaling $2,875.



Thefts



An Xbox 360 system and other electronic items, total value $890, were reported stolen Dec. 14 from the Game Stop on Dressler Road Northwest.



On Dec. 9, police were told that over a three-month period jewelry valued at $1,500 was stolen from an elderly patient's bedroom dresser at the Canton Regency on 22nd Street Northwest. Three days earlier, another resident told police that $500 in two envelopes was stolen from a drawer in her apartment.
