Kings Island plans to celebrate the holidays in a big way this year.

The park announced Thursday that after a 12-year absence it is bringing back its WinterFest.

The main attraction will be what is being billed as the world’s largest Christmas tree as workers will cover the park’s 314-foot tall Eiffel Tower with thousands of lights.

The area below the Eiffel Tower along International Street will be transformed into a winter village with outdoor ice skating on the park’s Royal Fountain, carolers and crafters.

The park plans to offer live stage shows, a Santa’s workshop along with rides including the Grand Carousel and rides on the authentic steam train.

The park has not yet released the hours or dates for WinterFest.
