Special to Ohio.com

Editor's Note: Revere High School student Halie Nitzsche is one of nearly 50 students in Ohio to travel throughout Europe this summer as a part of the People to People Student Ambassador organization.

The group left Ohio on June 22 and will return July 10. In today’s update, Halie and her group visits a French farm. After some visiting some animals and event milking a cow, the group got to just play games and relax before heading to the next country.

Where are they headed? Find out below and keep visiting Bath.Ohio.com for more on Halie’s trip.

Take a look at Days 4&5 here:

Day 4~ We woke up and had the same breakfast at the same hotel. We had to pack and leave by 7:45 a.m.  We went to a place that had an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. We took a ton of pictures then left to go the Notre Dame and meet French students to learn more about France. They were really cool and spoke good English for High Schoolers.

We then got on the bus for 4.5 hours to go to a French Farm. Lunch was at a fancy gas station. We had weird ratatouille and good chicken.

We got to the farm stay, we had sausage with cheesy potatoes which was REALLY amazing. We went to bed in dorm rooms.

Day 5~ For breakfast we had this weird cereal and hot chocolate. We noticed that at every meal, they served bread like a French banquet.

We split into groups. My group walked up the road to a barn and petted farm animals like dogs, kittens, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, rams, chickens, bunnies, pigs, and horses. We got to milk a cow and drink the milk straight from the utter. We went inside to have walnut bread and a weird berry tea. We rode a tractor back and had green beans and hamburgers with more bread.

After that, we got back into groups and went on a scavenger hunt to find flowers and trees, and stuff to do with nature. We also received sticky cardboard and had to make a design on it. We made the Eiffel Tower with our findings.

After the hunt, we hung out and played basketball then had noodles and veggies for dinner.

We played more basketball and took showers. We have to get up at 6:15 in the morning tomorrow and head to Switzerland, which we can see from our farm stay.
