Girl found dead
AKRON: An 11-year-old Akron girl was found dead in her bedroom in the 900 block of Eva Avenue late Christmas morning, police reported.
No cause of death had been determined. Police initially suspected a medication overdose but said the cause will have to wait until after an autopsy. The autopsy is scheduled for today, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The girl was found dead before noon, police said. The name of the girl, where she lived and other additional information was not available.
Tiny piano talk
CANTON: Miniature pianos will be the subject of a program on Jan. 14 at the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum.
The program will be presented at 10 a.m. by volunteer Jim Wertz at 800 McKinley Monument Drive NW.
