AKRON: The Andrea Rose Teodosio Memorial Run will take place at 8 a.m. July 12 at Lock 3 in downtown Akron. There will also be a one-mile run/walk and a kidsí fun run that begins at 9 a.m.
Proceeds from the race will go to the Andrea Rose Teodosio Foundation that helps the underprivileged and elderly, while addressing environmental issues, and promotes community service and education in the Akron area. Registration is $25 if registered by July 8 and $30 after. Participants can register at www.andrearose.org/race or at the check-in table on race day from 7 to 7:45 a.m.
MEDINA: The Medina Community Recreation Center will be hosting its annual Fireworks Festival at 4 p.m. July 3. Activities include: a traveling farm, Origami, exotic animals, balloon art, a rock band, laser light show and fireworks until 11 p.m.. Go online to www.medinarec.org for event updates.
GREEN: The City of Green is hosting a special electronic waste recycling day from 9 a.m. to noon July 12 at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Boulevard. This event is for Green residents only and proof of residency is required.
Items accepted include computers, printers, cable boxes, televisions up to 40 inches, telephones, keyboards, fax machines, switches and batteries.

The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park is staging a music camp for adults from July 13-16. Enrollment with four meals is $390 a person and $150 for non-participating spouses or companions.
