A 23-year-old man with three large baggies of marijuana sticking out of his coat pocket turned up at an Akron emergency room Wednesday after he was shot in the leg, police said.

When Akron police responded to the hospital and asked the man what happened, the injured man said he was robbed of his wallet, $800 and mobile phone, police said.

But the man went on to tell several different versions about where and how he was shot, police said.

The incident unfolded Wednesday about 10 p.m. at Summa Akron City Hospital.

Police did not identify the man who was charged for possession of marijuana.
