MEDINA: A Medina man is in custody after authorities say child pornography was found on his computer.

James M. McByrne Jr., 37, of South Court Street, has been charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

Medina police detectives executed a search warrant Monday at the home and seized computer equipment, which was examined by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

“We make the resolution of this kind of case a top priority,” said Police Chief Patrick Berarducci in a statement. “This was a great job by our detectives and their partners, the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.”

Authorities say additional charges could be filed when the case is presented to the Medina County Grand Jury.

Medina Police credit the state task force for providing “valuable information and support” in the investigation.
