The city of Hudson will offer free pick-up of live Christmas trees after the holiday season is over.

Starting Jan. 6, residents may place their live trees at the curb to have them recycled and processed into mulch free of charge.

All trees must be at the curb no later than 7 a.m., and must be free of all ornaments, stands, plastic wrap, wires, and any other items.

The Merry Mulch program is intended for Christmas trees only, and brush or other live Christmas decorations such as garlands will not be accepted.
