NEW FRANKLIN: A city man was charged this week with trafficking in methamphetamines and receiving stolen property, both felonies.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says it received a tip about missing ATVs and found them at a New Franklin residence. Detectives later executed a search warrant at a home on Buddy Street and found tools, several ounces of methamphetamine, seven firearms and about $6,000 in cash.

They also located four-by-four utility vehicles, three golf carts and a trailer generator at a nearby storage unit.

Timothy Williams, 35, of Buddy Street was charged. He is scheduled to appear Friday in Barberton Municipal Court.

Anyone with information regarding the stolen property that was recovered should call the Summit County sheriff’s detective bureau at 330-643-5404.
