YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO: A 21-year-old Northeast Ohio man could face the death penalty if he is convicted of firing shots into a house that killed an 8-year-old boy as he slept.

The Mahoning County grand jury indicted Shawn R. Wilson on Thursday on a charge of aggravated murder, with a death-penalty specification.

He is accused of indiscriminately firing shots into a home in Youngstown in the early morning hours of Aug. 20, killing Bryce Linebaugh as he slept in the top bunk of a bed.

The Vindicator reports that city prosecutors said Wilson told someone he was arguing with that he would come back and shoot up a house.
