The Ohio Department of Transportation will close the ramp from state Route 261/Vernon Odom Boulevard to Interstate 77 southbound in Akron from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday to make concrete pavement repairs.

The southbound portion of the highway between the Kenmore leg of Interstate 76 and just north of Route 261/Vernon Odom also will be reduced to one lane.

The road work and closures, which is weather dependent, are part of a $2.2 million project to make concrete pavement repairs on the highway. The project is scheduled to be completed by August.
