CINCINNATI: A man who authorities say sold a mixture of heroin and fentanyl that led to the overdose of a southwestern Ohio man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Federal authorities announced Thursday that 46-year-old John Wade was sentenced this week in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati in the 2015 death of a Chad Trammell of Clermont County. Wade pleaded guilty in May to one count of distribution of a controlled substance.
Court documents say investigators determined that Trammell purchased a mixture of heroin and fentanyl from Wade on the day he died in July 2015. Investigators say they found drugs in a bag with Wade’s DNA on it at Trammell’s Union Township home. Task force officers arrested the Cincinnati man in January of this year.
