DAYTON, OHIO: A Southwest Ohio man who pleaded guilty in the death of a pedestrian hit by the suspectís car during a high-speed police chase has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

The Montgomery County prosecutor says 21-year-old Aaron Johnson of Dayton was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty earlier this month to charges including aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and failure to comply with the command of a police officer.

Police said they were pursuing Johnson last July when he lost control of his car, went off the road and hit 27-year-old Agyasi Ector. Authorities say Johnson didnít have a valid driverís license.
