HAMILTON, OHIO: A tip has led a sheriff’s office in southwest Ohio to recover in a single bust the property stolen in at least 100 recent car break-ins.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones on Thursday announced that several cellphones, wallets, handguns and iPods are among the items that were recovered Wednesday after the arrest of two juveniles and an adult.
Jones says the juveniles were hitting between 20 and 30 cars a night. The sheriff’s office says the recovered property was likely stolen in Butler County and other areas in southwest Ohio.
The adult, 23-year-old Courtney Pratt, of Hamilton, is facing initial charges of receiving stolen property and misuse of a credit card. Her court records do not list an attorney.
