CINCINNATI: Cincinnatiís mayor wants to see red every Friday.

Mayor John Cranley is asking people in the Redsí home region to start wearing something red every Friday in the buildup to this summerís All-Star Game.

Major League Baseballís annual game of top players from both leagues July 14 also will bring a series of other games and events to Cincinnati over July 10-14. Cincinnati officials expect some 100,000 visitors to the city.

Cranley says the wearing of red will show support for the hometown Reds team and enthusiasm for hosting the All-Star Game.

Businesses, schools and organizations are urged to take part. Fans can use the #RedsFridays on social media.
