On Jan. 1 Ohioans making minimum wage will get a pay raise.

Workers making the state minimum wage of $8.15 an hour will now receive $8.30 an hour. The pay for tipped employees increases from $4.08 to $4.15 an hour.

The Ohio Department of Commerce announced the increase on Friday.

The current federal minimum wage is $7.25.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, the 15-cent raise is the largest in Ohio since January of 2015.
