A Hartford Avenue woman, 52, was charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and possession of an open container. An RTA driver notified officers that a woman was drinking a beer on a bus headed for the terminal. The woman fought with officers and resisted arrest, police said.

A Weehawken Place man, 22, was charged with felonious assault after he allegedly pulled a gun on someone and squeezed the trigger, but the weapon misfired.

An Adkins Street woman, 18, was charged with assault and robbery after she allegedly assaulted a woman and took her purse.

A Neville Avenue woman, 18, was charged with assault and robbery after she allegedly assaulted a woman and took her purse.

An Akron man, 42, was charged with breaking and entering after he allegedly broke into an Edgerton Road residence, stole copper pipes, placed them in the back of a truck and fled the scene.

A Cuyahoga Falls man, 50, was charged with burglary and misrepresentation after he allegedly broke out a front window and crawled into a home.

A Santee Avenue man, 26, was charged with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools after he allegedly was found taking copper pipes in a Delos Street home.

A Grant Street woman, 34, was charged with receiving stolen property after police reported finding her with a stolen vehicle.

An Allendale Avenue man, 41, was charged with breaking and entering after he allegedly kicked in a garage door to a Thornapple Avenue home. He fled when an observer scared him off.

A Schiller Avenue man, 31, was charged with domestic violence.

A Cleveland-Massillon Road woman told police April 20 that someone stole prescription medication from her home.

Copley Township

Arrests

A man, 46, was charged with driving under the influence April 14. A police officer conducted a traffic stop after noticing two of the tires on his vehicle had blown out and his car was on fire. After speaking with the driver, the officer noticed the man was intoxicated and arrested him.

Officers responded to complaints of a man trying to sell his car at a BP gas station in Montrose. He insisted the car was his, but he had no documents. The car was towed and he was cited for having fictitious plates.

Cuyahoga Falls

Arrests

A Fourth Street woman, 56, was charged with disorderly conduct April 25. Police said she was intoxicated when she disobeyed a pedestrian walkway signal while crossing Portage Trail at Fourth Street. The woman walked into the path of a vehicle. She was transported to Summa Western Reserve Hospital with a leg injury.

Animal violation

Four residents were charged with failure to register a dangerous dog April 25. They were summoned to Stow Municipal Court.

Breaking and entering

Someone broke into B and K Rootbeer, 737 Munroe Falls Ave., and stole more than $100 worth of food and candy April 23.

Burglary

Someone broke into an Americana Drive apartment April 23 and stole more than $500 worth of goods.

An apartment in the 1000 block of Howe Avenue was looted April 20.

Child endangering

Two children, ages 2 and 5, were found walking alone in the 1400 block of Myrtle Avenue about 1 p.m. April 23. They were returned to their home. Their father had fallen asleep.

Criminal mischief

A Clyde Avenue man told police April 19 that someone shot a bottle rocket at his apartment.

Criminal simulation

A city employee told police April 24 that he found two counterfeit $100 bills in an open trash bag in the 3300 block of Bath Heights Drive.

Identity theft

A Victor Avenue woman reported April 19 that someone used her debit card and information to make more than $6,000 in unauthorized purchases.

A 20th Street man reported April 20 that someone hacked into his credit-card account, made a purchase and changed the account information.

Chatham Street man told police April 20 that someone used his personal information to file a federal tax return.

Public indecency

A Cliffside Street woman, 26, told police April 22 that a man stood at her front door and performed a sex act. He left when she confronted him.

Arrests

A Walmart employee was charged with theft April 19 after he allegedly rang up two gift cards, one for $505 and another for $560, and kept them without putting the cash in a register. When his register came up short, security officers reviewed video and detected the employee’s actions. In addition to gift cards, he is accused of stealing $20 in food.

A Massillon man, 19, was charged with drug possession April 20 after police reported finding marijuana and a pipe in his car. Officers pulled over his car because of expired license plates.

An Akron man, 26, was charged with theft April 19 after he allegedly tried to steal a $25 T-shirt from FootLocker in Summit Mall.

An Akron woman, 19, was charged with criminal trespassing and obstructing official business April 20 after going to Summit Mall, where she is banned.

An Akron man, 36, was charged with theft April 19 after he allegedly tried to steal $224 in cologne from Target.

An Akron man, 19, was charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor April 23.

A Tallmadge woman, 26, was charged with felony possession of drugs April 24.

Assault

A Ross Drive woman, 19 told police April 24 that a staff member assaulted her in a group home.

An Echo Valley Drive woman reported April 18 that her boyfriend assaulted her and took her vehicle.

Breaking and entering

Someone broke into a vacant home in the 4700 block of Fishcreek Road and stole copper pipes.

Burglary

Someone broke into a home in the 3100 block of Peterboro Drive and stole electronics, a lock box containing $750 and other items April 22.

Identity theft

A Bayside Lake woman told police April 19 that someone used her credit card to buy $175 in online merchandise from Victoria’s Secret.

Telecommunications fraud

A Saratoga Boulevard woman, 86, reported April 22 she was notified by phone that she won a lottery prize. The woman sent money to an address given by the caller to pay for fees.

Theft

A Leewood Road man told police April 18 he bought a camera on eBay for $2,500. He wired the money April 4 but has not received the camera.

Arrests

A Wall Road man, 26, was charged with theft April 20 after he allegedly stole a “wet floor” sign from McDonald’s, 920 High St.

A Main Street woman, 44, was arrested April 21 on a warrant from the Medina County sheriff.

A Canton man, 56, was charged April 25 with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. The man, who has a concealed-carry permit, reportedly placed his hand under a car seat near his gun and out of an officer’s view during a traffic stop.

A home in the 400 block of Oakwood Avenue was looted April 23.

A Walter Street man, 24, was charged with assault, unlawful restraint, theft and disrupting public service April 21.

A Franklin Avenue man, 27, was charged with domestic violence April 22.

A Fairchild Avenue woman told police April 19 that someone broke into her home and took $2,300 in jewelry.

Cruelty to animals

Acting on a tip from an anonymous caller, police found a 10-month-old Australian shepherd mix tied to a post April 23 at Tannery Park near downtown Kent. The puppy had no tags.

Misuse of credit card

Two Spruce Court women told police April 22 that someone used their credit cards for unauthorized transactions.

Theft

A Chelton Drive woman reported April 22 that someone withdrew more than $900 from her checking account without permission.
