A LaCroix Street woman, 56, was charged with aggravated vehicular assault, felony hit-skip, failure to control a motor vehicle and operating vehicle under the influence. Police said she was driving drunk on Brown Street when she struck two pedestrians and fled June 1.

A homeless man, 32, was charged with domestic violence menacing and violation of a protection order after he allegedly threatened the mother of his children with a gun while on a bus.

An Eastland Avenue man, 34, was charged with felony willfully fleeing after he allegedly led officers on a 65 mph chase through residential neighborhoods before crashing at Interstate 76 westbound on the Fuller Avenue entrance ramp.

A Frederick Street man, 19, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, receiving stolen property and improperly handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop.

A homeless man, 32, was charged with burglary, possession of criminal tools and obstructing justice after he was found hiding in a vacant house. He had a pry bar, wire cutters and other tools. Another man, 21, also was charged in the incident.

A homeless woman, 53, was charged with burglary, disorderly conduct and intoxication after she allegedly tried to break into a house on Blanche Street.

A Nemes Place woman, 25, was charged with receiving stolen property and breaking and entering after she allegedly took a key, removed property from a storage facility and sold the items she took.

A Barberton man, 22, of Jefferson Avenue, was charged with burglary after he allegedly followed a tenant into a building at 22 E. Exchange St., entered an unlocked apartment and stole a laptop computer.

An Evergreen Street man, 53, was charged with domestic violence June 17 after he allegedly dragged his girlfriend across a gravel driveway and pulled her hair.

A Wooster Road West man, 34, was charged with domestic violence June 16 after he allegedly grabbed his wife by the hair, threw her on the kitchen floor and tossed items around their apartment.

A Berea woman, 37, was arrested on Summit County forgery warrants following a disturbance call June 16 on West Tuscarawas Avenue.

A man, 48, was charged with striking his Baird Avenue girlfriend and grabbing her throat June 13.

Burglaries

Someone entered a Norwood Street home June 15 and stole cash, coins and jewelry, total value $14,000.

About $3,000 in cash was reported stolen June 14 from a Hermann Street home.

An air-conditioning unit and copper piping, total value $510, were stolen from an East Huston Street residence, police were told June 13.

Thefts

A mower valued at $940 was reported stolen June 17 from a First Street Northeast home.

A $500 riding mower was stolen from an East Robinson Avenue home, police learned June 17.

A wedding ring and sunglasses, total value $3,150, were reported stolen June 16 from an Elmwood Avenue home.

A $1,000 air-conditioning unit was reported stolen June 12 from a vacant home on East Robinson Avenue.

A 17-foot flatbed trailer valued at $500 was reported stolen June 12 from a West Hopocan Avenue property.

Bath Township

Arress

A man, 25, was charged with assault June 21 after he allegedly assaulted a Martin Road man, 54, when he wouldn’t turn over the keys to the suspect’s mother’s home.

Misuse of a credit card

A debit card belonging to Advanced Quality Lawn was used to make unauthorized purchases of nearly $200 on June 18.

Suspicious person

Police responded to a report of a suspicious person soliciting sex at a southbound Interstate 77 rest area. An officer made contact with the man, who denied soliciting. He said he walked there from Parma and was waiting for a ride. He was transported to a bus station.

A Robinwood Lane resident told police that a truck knocked over a mailbox and drove away.

Theft

A Copley Meadows Drive man, 55, told police someone stole aluminum rims and tires June 13 that had been delivered by UPS.

Someone stole a headstone June 11 from Copley Township Cemetery.

Cuyahoga Falls

Arrests

A Third Street man, 44, was charged with domestic violence June 22 after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.

A Green woman, 28, was charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument June 26 at a home in the 3300 block of Charles Avenue. Police found a hypodermic needle and drug residue. The woman was taken to a hospital for a possible overdose.

A 13th Street man, 52, was charged with possession of a controlled substance June 19. Police reported finding heroin and Fentanyl patches in his apartment.

Assault

A woman, 24, told police June 25 that someone walked into her workplace in the 2600 block of State Road and shoved her against a wall.

Breaking and entering

Someone broke into a Bailey Road tattoo shop June 23-25 and stole $600 from a cash register.

Burglaries

Someone broke into a home June 26 in the 400 block of Magnolia Avenue and stole $3,000 in items.

Someone took electronics and video games June 20 from an apartment in the 2000 block of 24th Street.

A home in the 400 block of East Bath Road was burglarized June 24. Items valued at $575 were taken.

Someone entered an unlocked home in the 800 block of Monroe Avenue on June 21. The resident was home at the time. She found her purse outside, missing $600.

An apartment in the 2500 block of State Road was burglarized between June 7 and June 19. Electronics and a debit card were taken. The debit card was used to make nearly $4,000 in unauthorized transactions.

Identity theft

A Calvert Drive couple told police June 24 that someone used their personal information to file an Indiana tax return.

Felonious assault

A Birchwood Avenue man told police June 23 that a man he knows punched him in the face several times, causing several fractures.

Misuse of a credit card

A Lorain man, 19, reported June 19 that someone stole his wallet and used credit cards for $800 in purchases at Best Buy, 445 Howe Ave.

Utilities

Someone cut down a tree in the 3400 block of Haas Road, causing it to fall on a power line, which left 200 customers without electricity.

An Akron man, 20, was charged with trespassing June 25 at Dillard’s after he argued with employees about store policy while trying to return shoes. They told him he couldn’t return them because they had been worn and had a stain on them. Responding officers asked him to leave. When he came back a second time, he was charged with trespassing.

An Akron, woman, 25, was charged with theft June 22 after she allegedly tried to steal $95 worth of boys and girls swimwear.

A Stow woman, 43, was charged with theft June 20 after she allegedly tried to steal children’s clothing from Macy’s at Summit Mall.

A woman, 77, told police that someone stole an inhaler prescription May 30 that had been delivered to her mailbox.

A Walnut Ridge Drive woman, 46, was charged with domestic violence June 18 after she allegedly assaulted her husband.

A woman, 25, was charged with domestic violence after she allegedly assaulted her Northwood Drive boyfriend. She said he pushed her.

An Island Drive man, 18, was charged with domestic violence June 16 after he allegedly knocked his mother to the ground.

Deputies were trying to determine the identities of two males caught on video entering Camp Y Noah off Mount Pleasant Road June 17 and removing food from a refrigerator.

A Stow Road man, 19, was charged with two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor June 25.

Arrest

An Akron man was arrested June 21 after trying to drive away from a crash on Mogadore Road. The car was missing a wheel and the driver was impaired, police said.

Arrest

A Will Drive woman told police June 10 that her ex-boyfriend, 33, ran into her home and choked her. She ran to a neighbor’s home and he fled when told police were en route. He was found hiding in bushes and charged with domestic violence.

Theft

Someone stole diamond earrings and 82 Harley-Davidson coins from a Rennie Court home June 19.

Animal cruelty

A Greenridge Road woman told police June 21 that she found three stray kittens dead in the garage with their heads cut off. The kittens had been living in her garage with their mother, also a stray. The woman said she thinks the kittens were killed elsewhere, and their mother brought their bodies back to the garage.

Theft

An all-terrain vehicle was stolen June 21 from a shed in the 2800 block of Wadsworth Road.

Arrests

An Akron woman, 30, of McKinley Avenue, and an Akron woman, 27, of Romig Road, were charged with robbing a woman April 25 in a lot at Walmart on South Arlington Road.

A Samuel Road man, 40, was charged with domestic violence June 15 after he allegedly slapped his wife in a Hidden Lake Boulevard driveway.

A Rome, Ohio, woman 38, was charged with fleeing and eluding a peace officer and driving the wrong way June 23 on state Route 8.

A Liberty Road man, 28, was arrested June 23 on warrants alleging possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments.

A Ravenna man, 33, was charged with illegal assembly of chemicals used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine June 22.

A juvenile set fire to a mattress, damaging the second floor of a home in the 600 block of Acorn Place.

Assault

An Akron woman, 28, said a man she knows slapped her twice and hit her on the top of the head at Circle K, 750 Steels Corners Road.

A woman, 92, reportedly was assaulted June 30 at Stow Glen Nursing Home, 4285 Kent Road.

Identity theft

A Sunnyside Drive woman reported June 23 someone used her identity to file a federal tax return.

A woman told police that someone stole her purse from a car in an open garage of a East Celeste View home June 25. A debit card was later used at a local business.

Voyeurism

A Mac Drive woman, 27, told police June 19 that she believes someone accessed her apartment attic to watch her family by breaking a hole in the wall of an adjacent attic.

An Akron man, 28, was charged with illegal assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs June 18 during a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Eastwood Avenue.

A Mogadore man, 23, was charged June 19 with possession of heroin, possession of a drug abuse instrument and driving under suspension. Suspected heroin and a hypodermic syringe were found during a traffic stop at Tallmadge Circle.

Forgery

Someone tried to cash a check stolen from a briefcase at FirstMerit Bank, 27 Northwest Ave., on June 9.

Theft

An employee with Appliance Mart, 43 Midway Plaza, reported June 21 that someone took an envelope containing $1,000 from the counter.

Someone cut the locks on three lockers June 18 at Planet Fitness, 505 South Ave., stole wallets and added different locks. Credit cards from two of the wallets were used at local businesses — one at Macy’s for more than $3,500 and another from Kmart for more than $500.

A homeless man, 34, was charged with disorderly conduct June 24 after he allegedly was spotted holding a machete in a driveway in the 300 block of Oak Street.

A Canton man, 28, of Brown Avenue Northwest, was arrested June 14 on a domestic violence after he allegedly threatened to kill a Jackson Township resident.

A Canton man, 18, and a North Canton boy, 17, were charged with burglary June 25 after they allegedly looted three attached garages in the Glenmoor allotment.

Two potted plants, a cellphone and a gym bag full of clothing, total value $1,500, were taken June 14 from a home on Shady Oaks Drive.

A laptop computer and TV set, total value $950, were reported stolen June 10 from a Raleigh Street Northwest home.

Threat investigation

A Radcliff Avenue Northwest man told police a man threatened to kill him with a sledgehammer June 15.

TJ Maxx personnel told police June 9 that a woman grabbed 10 designer purses, total value $1,990, and fled in a waiting vehicle.

A Perry Township woman told police June 8 that a $500 phone was stolen from under her seat at Movies 10 on Dressler Road Northwest.

A Frank Avenue Northwest man said he wired $4,925 to a person claiming he was selling a vehicle on eBay. When he later contacted the seller, he was told he hadn’t purchased the vehicle and the bank said the transfer had already posted.

A woman stole 25 to 30 pairs of frames, total value $4,500, from LensCrafters at Belden Village Mall.

A Lake Township man, 33, of Pleasantwood Avenue Northwest, was charged with burglary June 13 after a Burkey Road Northwest couple found him asleep on a couch.

Two gas cans with six gallons of gas, total value $54, were reported stolen June 23 from a building in the 18400 block of Davis Road, Sugar Creek Township.

Ten muscle-relaxant tablets and 50 Oxycodone pills were reported taken June 23 from a home in the 1900 block of Blachleyville Road, Wooster Township.

Deputies found heroin, crystal meth and marijuana June 20 during a traffic stop at Eastern and Gates roads, Chippewa Township.

A 2002 Yamaha four-wheeler valued at $2,000 was reported stolen June 24 from a shed in the 100 block of South Reedsburg Road, Plain Township.
