A two-hour standoff ended peacefully Saturday night when a man wanted on a felony warrant surrendered to Akron police after barricading himself and three children inside a Brittain Road residence.
WEWS-TV (Channel 5) reported that none of the three children inside a home near Brittain Road and Sieberling Street were injured when David Blair, 40, surrendered to a SWAT team, called out to the incident around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards told WEWS that Blair refused to come outside for two hours.
Police arrested Blair, who was charged with theft, domestic violence and endangering on April 23, according to Akron Municipal court records.
No further details are available at this time, pending a police investigation, according to WEWS.
