CUYAHOGA FALLS: Many retailers, restaurants and other businesses along Howe Avenue and Main Street were without power for about 40 minutes this afternoon.
As of 4 p.m., about 10 Main Street customers were still waiting to come back online, with nine of those expected to be back up soon, said Mike Dougherty, superintendent of the city’s Electric Department.
In all, about 305 customers were affected, Dougherty said. He didn’t know if any businesses had to close during the outage.
The cause is “isolated, but we still haven’t found it yet,” he said. “We’re not sure if it is a transformer or an underground cable.”
