Man dies repairing truck
AKRON: A 47-year-old Akron man was killed Saturday morning when a pickup truck he was repairing struck him.
Mark E. Culler was transported to Summa Akron Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Culler and another man were working on a 1988 Chevrolet Cheyenne pickup truck about 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the driveway of a home in the 500 block of Fouse Avenue.
The other man was sitting in the driver’s seat working on the steering column while Culler was behind the truck, police say.
The man working on the steering caused the truck to go into reverse and it lunged backward, striking Culler.
The truck continued through the garage door and pinned Culler against the inside of the garage, police say.
The incident remains under investigation.
