BATH TWP.: A listing agreement with Stouffer Realty for the sale of district property located at 2301 N. Hametown Road was approved Tuesday by the Revere Board of Education.


The listing price for the 57 acres at the intersection of Hametown and Everett Roads in Bath is $1.25 million. 
 
The property, which had been part of the original Firestone estate, was purchased by the district in September 1998 from Merryweather Real Estate. The site, as well as the additional acreage that is now Firestone Trace and the Bath Baseball Park, had been purchased from John Chlebina the previous year.
 
Three years ago, the district offered the acreage for sale at auction, but no buyer came forward.
 
The brokers’ fee approved by the board would be 5 percent of the sales price, or $3,500, whichever is greater. The buyer’s agent would also be offered up to 2 percent of the selling price or up to a maximum of $1,667.
 

The agreement, which will be in force from Aug. 20 through Aug. 31, 2013, also permits the broker to market the property directly to the real estate firm’s existing contacts without the use of advertising media for 30 days.
