BATH TWP.: The Revere school board has approved two-year employment contracts for administrators, including central office personnel, principals, assistant principals and the athletic director.

“We have a very good administrative team, and this will keep the district moving forward,” said Superintendent Randy Boroff.

Among the central office personnel receiving contracts are Kathy Bearer, assistant superintendent; Susan Chute, director of student services; Kevin Matowitz, coordinator of business services; Georgiann Jackson, assistant treasurer; Ryan Lekan, information and technology specialist; and Cathy Harbinak, communications specialist.

Contracts also were approved for principals Dan Fry, Bath Elementary; Katie Kowza, Hillcrest Elementary; and Joe Niemantsverdriet, Revere Middle schools; assistant principals John Evans at Revere High School and Beth Harrington at Hillcrest; and Bill Schumacher, athletic director.

In lieu of base salary increases, the board also approved stipends for administrators for the 2012-13 school year.

“[These stipends] are consistent with contracts already approved for teachers and the superintendent,” said Boroff of why the amounts of the stipends were midway between the teachers’ and the superintendent’s increases.

Receiving $1,000 stipends were: Bearer, Chute, Evans, Fry, Harrington, Revere High School Principal Phil King, Kowza, Lekan, Matowitz, Niemantsverdriet, and Schumacher. Jackson, along with Nila Ellis, transportation supervisor, and Deanne Pastva, food services supervisor, each were approved to receive $600, while Harbinak, who works less than halftime, was $240.

Stipends for the 2013-14 contract year are to be determined at a later date, said officials.
