The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery at a Subway in Green at about 8:30 p.m. Monday.

A man entered the restaurant at 3471 Massillon Road and handed the cashier a note that said he had a weapon and to give him cash. The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money. An employee called 911 and the sheriff’s office responded.

The robber is a white man in his early 20s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet, with long, red sideburns. He wore flip flops, blue jeans, a gray, long-sleeved hooded pull-over shirt, and a baseball hat that was dark-colored with a John Deere patch. He may have fled in a white Ford F-150 truck with a white cap on the bed, according to press from the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office is asking that anyone with information on the robbery call the detective bureau at 330-643-2131 or Summit County Crime Stoppers at 330-434-2677.
