COLUMBUS: Police in central Ohio say they have a person-of-interest in the shooting death of a 73-year-old woman.
Columbus police say Carol Cummings was fatally shot at about 9 p.m. Wednesday in her home in the Victorian Village neighborhood of Columbus. Witnesses say they saw someone running from the scene.
Cummings had a reputation for opening her home to people in need, and neighbors told reporters they believe the shooter was someone who had stayed in her home.
Detectives did not release the name of the man they are seeking.
