APPLE CREEK: The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a threat written on a bathroom wall at Waynedale High School.

“The threat outlines some violence that was going to be taking place Monday of next week,” sheriff’s Capt. Doug Hunter said Thursday in his daily Facebook video update.

He didn’t disclose the exact nature of the threat, but he encouraged parents to send their children to school.

Deputies will be at the high school and other buildings in the Waynedale district Friday and Monday.

“Our goal is to make sure the school day goes off without a hitch and goes off safely,” he said.
