Major highways abruptly closed: None.

AKRON:

?Cuyahoga Street, between North Howard Street and Memorial Parkway: Closed starting Monday for about six weeks for sewer construction for the Otto Street Pump Station project. Detour route is North Howard and West Tallmadge Avenue/Memorial Parkway.

?South Broadway at Bartges Street intersection: Lane restrictions until about Friday for installation of conduit in preparation for the Interstate 76/High Street/Main Street interchange project. Two lanes at a time will be restricted from the east curb lanes to the west curb lanes.

?Rankin Street, between Brown Street and Kling Street: Closed for about two weeks for reconstruction of a sanitary sewer. Detour route is Brown Street, Cross Street and Kling Street.

?Anna Avenue, between East Avenue and west dead end limits: Traffic restrictions from mid-block of Anna Avenue to the dead end for sanitary sewer repairs until about March 4. Local access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained.

?Hancock Avenue/Unclemorse Avenue: The intersection and Unclemorse Avenue between Hancock Avenue and Carnegie Avenue will be closed until about March 4 for sanitary sewer repairs. A detour will be posted. Local access on Hancock Avenue will be available to the Unclemorse intersection, but access across will not be available until work at the intersection has been completed.

?South Street, at railroad crossings just east of South Broadway: Closed until about Tuesday to relocate communication conduit in preparation for the Interstate 76/High Street/Main Street interchange project. A detour will be posted.

?Riverview Road, between Smith Road and Bath Road: Closed until late April for the start of rehabilitating a portion of the Main Outfall Sewer. Merriman Road/Riverview Road will also have construction work from Lock 22 Plaza to Smith Road with lane restrictions. Detour routes will be posted.

?18th Street and Idaho Avenue project: Installation and reconstructing gas mains through the end of April on the following streets: 17th Street, from Kenmore Boulevard to Battles Avenue; 18th Street, from Kenmore Boulevard to Iona Avenue; 19th Street, from Florida Avenue to Harpster Avenue; 20th Street, from Battles Avenue to Iona Avenue; Kenmore Boulevard (north side), from 17th Street to 18th Street; Florida Avenue, from 18th Street to 19th Street; and Chandler Avenue, from 18th Street to 20th Street. Work will start on 17th Street. Work areas will be posted with minimal lane closings and flaggers will assist with traffic.

Newton Street and St. Leger Avenue project: Installation and reconstructing gas mains through the end of March on the following streets: Newton Street, from Goodyear Boulevard to Morningview Avenue; Honodle Avenue, from Watson Street to Morningview Avenue; Ottawa Avenue, from St. Leger Avenue to Morningview Avenue; Tonawanda Avenue, from Goodyear Boulevard to Morningview Avenue; Malasia Road, from Watson Street to Morningview Avenue; Watson Street, from Malasia Road to Tonawanda Avenue; St. Leger Avenue, from Newton Street to Tonawanda Avenue; and Morningview Avenue, from Preston Avenue to Huguelet Street. Work areas will be posted with minimal lane closings and flaggers will assist with traffic.

?Manchester Road and Allenford Street project: Installation and reconstructing gas mains through the end of May on the following streets: Manchester Road, from Wilbeth Road to Maringo Avenue; Koerber Street, from Manchester Road to Edwin Avenue; Allenford Street, from Manchester Road west to dead end; Allenford Street, from Manchester Road to Nesmith Lake Boulevard; Westmoreland Street, from Manchester Road to Nesmith Lake Boulevard; Celtic Street, from Manchester Road to east of Pelton Avenue; Stanford Street, from Manchester Road to east of Edwin Avenue; Lockwood Street, from Manchester Road to east of Nesmith Lake Boulevard; Rexford Street, from Manchester Road west to Nesmith Lake Boulevard; Maringo Avenue, from Manchester Road west to dead end; and Edwin Avenue, from Stanford Street to Eckard Avenue. Work areas will be posted with minimal lane closings and flaggers will assist with traffic.

?Rhodes Avenue and Bishop Street project: Installation and reconstructing gas mains through the end of April on the following streets: Rhodes Avenue, from South Maple Street to Monroe Street; Douglas Street, from Bishop Street to Cedar Street; Bell Street, from Bishop Street to South Maple Street; Bishop Street, from Douglas Street to Bell Street; Lillian Street, from Douglas Street to Bell Street; and Monroe Street, from Rhodes Avenue to Edgewood Avenue. Work areas will be posted with minimal lane closings and flaggers will assist with traffic.

?Dan Street, between East North Street and Evans Avenue: Closed for sanitary and storm sewer construction until November. Work will also begin on Moraine Avenue to the east of Dan Street for about the next two months. Detour via East North Street, Evans Avenue and Home Avenue.

?Hickory Street, between North Street and Memorial Parkway: Closed until late 2018 to prepare for work on the Ohio Canal Interceptor Tunnel. It includes the temporary relocation of the Towpath Trail to Hickory Street from Maple Street to near Memorial Parkway.

?East Waterloo Road at the intersection of South Arlington Street: Lane restrictions for reconstruction of the intersection and signals. The road has been channelized to allow traffic flow through the area. Restrictions will change periodically. Final paving and pavement markings will be completed in the spring.

?Massillon Road, between Seiberling Way and Triplett Boulevard: Temporarily reopened for the winter season. Work will continue on walks and drive aprons as weather permits.

Elsewhere in Summit County:

?State Route 91, between Post Road and Glenwood Drive in Twinsburg: There is a new traffic pattern with one lane maintained in each direction, though it will be shifted to the westbound side of the road for drainage improvements through April.

?I-271 in Macedonia: I-271 between Route 8 and the Cuyahoga County line has lane restrictions for road widening until further notice. Speed limit in this area is reduced to 50 mph during construction.

?I-271 in Richfield and Richfield Township: I-271 from just south of Broadview Road to just south of state Route 303 has daily lane restrictions for road construction until further notice.

?State Route 82, between Alexandria Drive and Longwood Park in Macedonia: Reduced to one 10-foot lane in each direction for road widening until further notice.

MEDINA COUNTY:

?Granger Road, between Weymouth Road and Lake Forest Trail in Medina: Closed until further notice to repair a water main break.

PORTAGE COUNTY:

?State routes 14 and 59 in Ravenna Township: Route 59 westbound between state Route 5 and Route 14 will be closed through early April for road reconstruction. Detour is Route 5 to Route 14. Newton Falls Road is permanently closed between Woodbine Road and state Route 14. Traffic will be rerouted to Route 59 using the newly constructed Peck Road connector.

STARK COUNTY:

?Middlebranch Avenue, north of Royer Street in Lake Township: Closed through Friday for culvert replacement. There will be no through traffic. Detour via State Street and state Route 43 (Kent Avenue).

?State Route 800, between 34th Street and 45th Street in Canton Township: Reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for road widening until further notice.

WAYNE COUNTY:

No current projects to report.

Elsewhere in Northeast Ohio:

?I-77 bridge deck replacement over Cuyahoga River Valley, Independence and Cuyahoga Heights in Cuyahoga County: Occasional lane closings during off-peak hours are anticipated as only minor work remains on the project.
