YOUNGSTOWN: Jim Tressel, who will meet faculty, staff and the public this week as one of three finalists for the presidency of the University of Akron, will conduct similar interviews next week on the Youngstown State campus.
The Youngstown State University Presidential Search Advisory Committee on Monday said it had cut its list of six semifinalists for its presidency in half.
Joining Tressel, currently UA’s executive vice president for student success, on YSU’s short list are:
•?Mary Cullinan, president and professor of English, Southern Oregon University.
•?Gary L. Miller, chancellor, University of North Carolina Wilmington.
“We believe we have a highly qualified group of final candidates, and we look forward to them traveling to Youngstown, visiting our campus and meeting the people of the university and the community,” Sudershan K. Garg, chair of the YSU board of trustees, said in a prepared statement.
