WADSWORTH: With more than 125 units, the 2013 Blue Tip Parade kicked off the Blue Tip Festival, which concluded Saturday.



After reviewing the units, the judges awarded trophies in eleven categories: Best in Show, Horses, Float-Animal,  Float-Youth, Adult Marching, Novelty, Float-Commercial, Float-Noncommercial, Juvenile Baton Corps, Band and Junior Marching Unit.



For Best of Show, in first place was the Wadsworth High School Marching Band and in the Band category, the Wadsworth Community Band received the first place trophy.



For the Float-Animal category, first place went to All Creatures Veterinary; Float-Commercial; Todd Taylor Singing the Oldies; Float-Noncommercial, Reimer Road Baptist Church;  and, Float-Youth, the Wadsworth Area Soccer Association.



Thirsty Cowboys won first place in the Adult Marching category ; Junior Marching Unit, Jammin Jumpers; and the Imperial Cadets took first place in the category of Juvenile Baton Corps.



Great Clips was awarded first place in the category of Novelty, and the Medina County Sheriff's Department Mounted in the Horse category.
