The 20th Annual Candidates' Forum will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad St.

Janet Griffing, the marketing and public relations coordinator of the library, said the candidates have been invited and most have responded. The candidates that have been invited include those contesting for the 16th U.S. Congressional District, Ninth District Court of Appeals, 22nd State Senate, 69th State Representative, Medina County Commission, Medina County Recorder, Medina County Clerk of Courts and Medina County Sheriff.
According to Griffing, the forum's format will include an introduction of the candidates. Each candidate for that particular office will then be given two minutes to provide information on his or her candidacy. The order in which the candidates for each office speak is determined by the drawing of lots.
After those speeches, the audience will be given time to write a question for the candidates to answer. Griffing noted that the questions are not to be addressed to a particular candidate as each candidate for that particular office will be expected to give an answer to the question. No questions will be asked orally from the floor.

Wadsworth Library Director C. Allen Nichols will serve as forum moderator. The forum will be recorded by Wadsworth Community Television, Griffing noted, and will be shown at specified times by WCTV up until the election.
