Helicopter crashes into pub

A police helicopter crashed Friday night through the roof of a popular pub in Glasgow, sending injured revelers fleeing through a cloud of dust in what witnesses called a scene of horror. Priest, vicar found murdered

A parish priest and his vicar have been murdered in the Gulf coast state of Veracruz, the Diocese of Tuxpan said. The head of Ixhuatlan de Madero parish, the Rev. Hipolito Villalobos, and vicar Rev. Nicolas De la Cruz were found dead Friday. Officials said four suspects were detained for questioning.

Fire breaks out in auditorium

Fire swept through a large auditorium Friday in Sao Paulo’s Latin America Memorial, a political, cultural and leisure complex designed by famed architect Oscar Niemeyer. Fire officials said the 1,600-seat Simon Bolivar auditorium was empty at the time. Two firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation. The extent of the damage was not immediately known.
