614 Magazine in Columbus has a story highlighting the special releases planned this year by Columbus Brewing Co. And although the story doesn't state it outright, it appears from comments made by owner and brewer Eric Bean that the brewery's popular Hop Odyssey program won't return this year. Hop Odyssey involved Columbus Brewing making a different hoppy draft beer each month. "We may revisit Hop Odyssey in a year, but it really has limited our ability to play," Bean told 614 Magazine. "It's like we showed everybody that we can make some really hoppy beers, but we want to diversify what we do. Perhaps a few malt-forward offerings . . . believe or not, we can do malty."
