The American Homebrewers Association will hold a rally Sunday (June 3) at Platform Beer Co. in Cleveland.

The open house-style event -- which is open only to AHA members and runs from 1 to 4 p.m. -- will include tours of the production brewery and a tasting at the taproom. Platform was ranked this year as the 35th fastest-growing brewery in the country by the Brewers Association.

"It’s a chance for the homebrewers to ‘talk shop’ with the pros, and take a VIP tour of the brewhouse," said Matt Bolling, AHA events and membership coordinator. "The homebrewers also get some beer samples, free gifts, and we host a prize raffle at the end."

Association leadership also will be able to check out Cleveland as a potential host city for its annual conference.

"Cleveland is indeed on a list of cities that we are possibly considering to host Homebrew Con in the future," Bolling said. "It’s a great beer town, and we’d love to bring the conference there – but there are several other cities also in the running."
