Hoof Hearted Brewing is ready to rock its inaugural Dragonsaddle Day music festival.

The Marengo production brewery and tasting room will mix a bevy of live musical performances -- headlined by Dayton's Guided by Voices -- to go along with two big beer releases from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 7.

The brewery will release Dragonsaddle Triple IPA and Bourbon Barrel Aged Fitness Freak in cans. Dragonsaddle is the third-highest rated beer in Ohio on BeerAdvocate.com, while Fitness Freak is a 15 percent imperial stout made with coffee, vanilla and maple syrup.

Tickets are $95 and include the music festival, plus two four-packs of 16-ounce cans of Dragonsaddle, a two-pack of 16-ounce cans of Fitness Freak, 11-ounce Teku Glass and a commemorative tote.

There will be draft of both beers available at the event, as well, along with Who'd Like to Hold My Clipboard?, Skin Froot, Hot Probz and Thanks For Letting Us Play Tonight.

There also are music festival-only tickets for $25.

In addition to Guided by Voices, the other performers are Dirty Johnny and the Makebelieves, Beano, Kock 107, Timmy Capello, and Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments.

"We're taking a little bit of a risk arguably leveraging our biggest brand against this," Hoof Hearted operations manager Brayden Volk said about the Dragonsaddle release.

The brewery hopes the event turns into an annual gathering.
