Tasty Buns & Craft Beer Week -- a weeklong celebration of food and craft beer -- this year will feature a collaboration beer made by all the brewers in Licking County.

Nine of Hearts, a common ale made with local wildflower honey and grains of paradise, will be tapped at 8 p.m. March 24 at the Kickoff Tap Party and Benefit Concert at Thirty One West in Newark. The name stems from the number of brewers involved and their "big hearts" because the beer will benefit the Food Pantry Network of Licking County.

The beer was brewed at Homestead Beer Co. and will be available through Matesich Distributing. In addition to Homestead, the following brewers participated: Buckeye Lake, Three Tigers, Granville, Buck's, Dankhouse, Trek, 1487 and Earthworks (which isn't licensed yet in the state).

Tasty Buns & Craft Beer Week, sponsored by Explore Licking County, runs March 24-31. The week features dinners, tap takeovers and a closing beer festival. For more details, click here.
