Untappd co-founder Greg Avola is swinging by MadTree Brewing Co. on Thursday (April 12) to help celebrate the rating app's Seven City Tour.

Cincinnati recently was named one of the "most checked-in cities" on the app and MadTree had the most check-ins by unique users in the community.

The party runs from 6 to 9 p.m.

Avola will give out Untappd T-shirts, stickers and other swag. MadTree also will tap four specialty barrel-aged beers and give away free glasses to the first 100 people.

"We always knew Cincinnati was a beer drinking town and they made it loud and clear with all the check-ins at so many fantastic verified venues," Avola said in a prepared statement.

In addition to MadTree, parties are being held at Heist in Charlotte, N.C., Cigar City in Tampa Bay, Fla., Goose Island in Chicago, Bottle Logic in Anaheim, Calif., Great Notion in Portland, Ore., and Other Half in New York City.

“We have been avid users and supporters of the Untappd app since the brewery began five years ago, so it was really exciting to see Cincinnati represent so well in this competition,” MadTree spokesman Mike Stuart said. “We’re blown away that so many Untappd users chose to come MadTree to share what they were drinking.”
