The Ohio Craft Brewers Association has elected new leaders to its 11-member board.

In elections held earlier this month (June), Jimmy Stockwell of Little Fish Brewing Co. was selected as vice president and Ali Hovan of HiHO Brewing Co. and Garrett Hickey of Streetside Brewery were named to the board, the group announced Thursday. (June 28)

Meanwhile, board treasurer Tim Ward of North High Brewing was re-elected to the position, and current board members John Haggerty of Warped Wing Brewing Co. and Mark Hunger of Great Lakes Brewing Co. were re-elected to a second term.

“Our board defines the mission and goals of the organization, and their leadership has helped to fuel the growth of the craft brewing industry in Ohio,” Executive Director Mary MacDonald said in a prepared statement. “The board represents a great cross-section of our membership, with representatives from every region of the state, large and small, new and established, packaging breweries and brewpubs. That diversity of input makes us stronger and helps us advocate for issues that affect all of Ohio’s breweries."

Collin Castore of Seventh Son Brewing serves as president of the group. He was not up for election this year.

The nonprofit association, founded in 2007 and made up of about 200 Ohio breweries, is an advocate for the craft beer industry in the state. It also holds events such as the annual Winter Warmer Fest in Cleveland.
