Wiedemann's Fine Beer will break ground today (Aug. 30) on a new $3 million Wiedemann Brewery and Bohemian Beer Garden inside a former funeral home in St. Bernard, a Cincinnati suburb.

"This is a great site here, a great setting for a brewery and beer garden," co-owner Jon Newberry told Cincinnati.com.

The groundbreaking, set for 4:30 p.m. at 4811 Vine St., will feature remarks from local leaders and brewery officials, along with refreshments and snacks.

Jon and Betsy Newberry resurrected the famous Wiedemann brand in 2012 and have had the beer made on contract, although there is little on the market today, Cincinnati.com reported. The Newberrys have been searching for a brewery site -- and funding -- ever since.
