When it comes to anniversary parties, Wolf’s Ridge Brewing Co. head brewer Chris Davison doesn’t hold back.

Last year, the Columbus brewery celebrated its third anniversary with an impressive 30 beers on draft and six special bottle releases.

Davison bested that this year. Wolf’s Ridge will offer an even more impressive 45 beers on draft and have seven special bottle releases during its fourth anniversary party on Saturday. (Sept. 30) The event begins at 10 a.m., while the bottle sale starts at 11 a.m. (There’s also an early bird party that’s sold out.)

"It’s definitely almost too much to have tried," Davison admitted about the sheer number of beers available. "It’s going to be the biggest thing logistically that we’ve ever done."

The 45 different drafts will be released throughout the day. There also will be on-site bottle consumption involving some vintage and special brews, including Dire Wolf Canis Mexicanus and sours.

Davison is especially pleased with the number of bottled beers being released.

"It’s seven different brands available in bottles that haven’t been available before," he said.

Here’s a rundown of the bottles:

• All the Breakfast: 22-ounce bottle for $14.99.

• Canis Mexicanus Double Espresso: 22-ounce bottle for $13.99.

• Bourbon Barrel Coffee Joy: 22-ounce bottle for $20.

• Bourbon Barrel Yub Nub: 22-ounce bottle for $20.

• Bourbon Barrel Pi: 12-ounce bottle for $8 or a four-pack for $30.

• Bourbon Barrel Dave Doesn’t Know (a coffee pumpkin): 12-ounce bottle for $9 or a four-pack for $34.

• Terre du Sauvage Blue: 22-ounce bottle for $12.99.

Wolf’s Ridge is expecting 500 or more people to attend this year. There's no charge to get into the regular event, with people just paying for the beers they drink and the bottles they buy.

As for next year, don’t be surprised if Davison tops himself again.

"We’ll try to surpass it," he said.
