It's a busy week for beer festivals in Ohio. There are at least eight events scattered around the state, including four big fests on Saturday (Oct. 5). Here's a quick rundown:

-- The second annual Pumpkin Beer Fest starts at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Market Garden Brewery in Cleveland. The event includes 12 pumpkin beers and Market Garden's version served out of a pumpkin. It's free and you only pay for the beer you drink. For details, click here.

-- The Cincinnati Zoo Brew is 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The event, which is sold out, features beers from Samuel Adams. For more details, click here.

-- The first Youngstown BeerFest is 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown. VIP tickets get you in at 1 p.m. The event will feature about 200 beers from 80 breweries. For more details, including ticket prices, click here.

-- The annual Fat Head's Brewery & Saloon Celebration of the Hop festival is Saturday at the brewpub in North Olmsted. There are two sessions, 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $30. The event will feature 21 breweries. For more details, click here.

-- The second annual Medina Beer Fest is 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Williams on the Lake in Medina. The event will feature 11 breweries, more than 25 beers, three ciders and live entertainment. Tickets are $25. For more details, click here.

-- The annual Blind Pumpkin Taste, which involves people sampling pumpkin beers blind and then picking their favorite, is 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 6) at Vintage Estate Wine and Beer in Boardman. The event is sold out. For more details, click here.
