WASHINGTON: Kyrie Irving scored 28 points, but the Cavs were blown out by the Wizards 113-99 Sunday at Verizon Center in a game that wasn’t as close as the final.

LeBron James sat out to rest on a day the Cavs played with little energy and focus. John Wall had 21 points and 13 assists while sitting out the fourth quarter and the Cavs lost their second straight.

Matthew Dellavedova’s 3-pointer pulled them within 59-54 in the final minute of the first half, but the Wizards outscored the Cavs 11-2 to start the third and led by as many as 30.

Kevin Love had 12 points and five rebounds and Iman Shumpert scored 12 points off the bench for the Cavs, who host the Indiana Pacers on Monday.
