Cellar Dweller Brewery will begin canning four of its beers starting early next year. The brewery, located at Valley Vineyards in Morrow just north of Cincinnati, will offer Copperhead, an American pale ale; Hoppy Poppy, an India pale ale; Lookout Stout, a dry Irish stout; and Shawsome, a black IPA, in 16-ounce cans.



The beers will be sold in four-packs, brewer Steve Shaw said.



“I like the cans for convenience,” he said. “It’s a better packaged product than the bottle.”



Cans also are easier to transport and take outside.



“I’m a boater,” Shaw said. “I spend my summer on a boat.”



He expects the beers to be available in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas.



The brewery is constructing an addition onto the back of the brewery/winery to accommodate the canning and bottling of some specialty brews in 750 ml bottles.



Cellar Dweller has been growing steadily. The brewery produced 227 barrels in its first year, and Shaw expects that to grow to 1,000 barrels next year.
